For sixteen days, Basel becomes a working studio. GRID/WORKS gathers the people who believe that structure is not the enemy of expression, it is the condition for it.

ThesisEvery poster you have ever loved was an argument about order. The biennale takes that argument public: lectures, live critiques, and open presses running from morning to midnight.

MethodNo keynotes from stages you cannot reach. Every session ends at a table, with type, ink, and a ruler. Visitors set, print, and bind alongside the people they came to hear.

Raster Raum: sixty years of Swiss poster systems, shown beside the sketches that broke their own rules. Six halls, 400 works, one continuous baseline.

Workshops

Set Akzidenz by hand. Draw a wayfinding system for a building that does not exist. Twelve rooms, forty benches, ink under every fingernail.

T.03↗

Lectures

Evening talks in Hall 3, followed by open critique. Speakers defend one project for twenty minutes, then the room takes it apart, politely.
