03 / FLIGHT RECORD

Worn in zero-G before it is sold on Earth.

Every Perigee flies before it ships. Each finished piece spends a full duty rotation aboard Meridian Station, strapped to the wrist of a working flight engineer. Not a test rig. A person, doing checklists, sleeping badly, gripping handrails.

In orbit, a mechanical watch loses its oldest ally: gravity. Amplitude drifts. Lubricants creep. Most calibers quietly fall apart in the small ways that only time reveals. The OV-7 was drawn from a blank page for exactly this environment, with a tri-axis gimbal cage that lets the movement find its own attitude.

When a watch comes home, its flight log comes with it: every thermal cycle, every EVA it waited out inside the airlock, every second of recorded drift. The log is bound in the delivery case. The drift, so far, rounds to zero.
